Stowelink Inc decided as one of the methods it will use to promote and sensitize the people on cardiovascular health and cardiovascular diseases by using ART and poetry, IMPRESIVE, RIGHT? Yea right, that’s what we thought too. Besides we used this opportunity also to uplift and bring to the limelight local talent especially the poets and spoken word artists.
Well the competition received a whopping 213 applications from 35 counties in Kenya showing just how much our impact is felt. The poets were challenged to develop two works of art; one on cardiovascular related issues and a thematic poem based on a pictorial photo story. Well the poets we received were definitely the best. From high school students to university and even to the working class we received applications. The poets submitted their works and our team had to review all those applications and narrow it down to twenty of the best poets.
This was most definitely a very daunting task and at times we even argued about various poets and their originalities and composition. Eventually we arrived at 20 poets who are currently battling it out on our Facebook pages to win and get featured on our blog and get opportunities to perform in our future events while also being marketed on all our social media platforms.
