So the world stroke day started on a high note with the morning walk where students, staff and participants from all over the country gathered at Thika superhighway and walked for 3 kilometers into Kenyatta university. the morning walk saw over 5000 people reached with messages on stroke in form of fliers, pamphlets and even word of mouth. All of this was carefully planned in order to have an integrated plan of activities reaching the right target population with short clear and easy to understand messages on stroke and why they should be aware of it.

The morning walk was covered live by various media houses including KUTV and Family Tv. A lot of comments and questions were asked and briefly answered thus making individuals more aware of what stroke is. The team was actively led and directed by the head of CACK who helped in traffic control and giving general directions and guidelines thus ensuring the walk was a success.
