Alcohol and tobacco are the major leading causes of death among youth, guess what these two are also major on, they are the major causes of non-communicable diseases. And its with this light that Stowelink carefully designed a project aimed at creating awareness of the effects of drug abuse with more focus on the relationship between these drugs and non-communicable diseases.
THE DRUG FREE YOUTH targets youth between 14- 18 years old which is basically youth in high schools. The project has content curated for the youth who live in slum areas who are more prone to using drugs and substance abuse. the project has various approaches which it will put in place to ensure it creates this awareness and has the intended impacts on the target population. The project will use photography videography and poetry contests and the establishment among clubs in these schools we visit in order to create the desired impact. The project is now one month-old and we continue to have impact.
