The African youth festival is a festival that was organized by plan international to bring together youths from 14 African countries to talk and share about their various experiences and work with the Plan International county office. Plan International also invited several organizations together like Amnesty International and VSO, to share experiences and develop young African advocates who are prepared and ready to talk about various health issues.
Stowelink was represented among the delegates in this festival with its founder attending the 5-day workshop in this festival. We learnt a lot about leadership and intersectionality and why it’s very important that as a health advocates and leaders, we recognize the intersectionality that exist in our various movements. We also learnt skills on pitching and presentation, skills which we could use to develop and make better presentations. As Stowelink we continue to develop and increase in our skills because more than anything, the society deserves the best of what we could offer in our service provision.
