Every person—no matter who they are or where they live—should be able to get the quality health services they need without facing financial hardship. Universal health coverage (UHC) ensures all people, everywhere, can get the quality health services they need without facing financial hardship. It is a fundamentally political goal, rooted in the right to health. It is also one of the smartest investments any country can make. Every year on 12 December, advocates worldwide mobilize on International Universal Health Coverage Day to call for strong, equitable health systems that leave no one behind.
On this day we held a medical camp at Njathaini community where we screened 600+ parents, children and community members. On this day we partnered with njathainininfo4food social enterprise a CBO developed by Stowelink in partnership with EFSOYC.
On this day we conducted blood pressure screenings, deworming services, medical consultation and health education. We partnered with the ministry of health and the sub county medical facility to make this event a success. We continue to transform and empower lives and for us community is the focus of our work! We believe strongly that everyone deserves access to health and we are here to be the drivers of this change!
