On the second of July 2020 Stowelink in their continued partnership with Vihiga county through the support of the NCDAK, launched the first NCDs county chapter in the county. In the event tat was attended by key health officials, county leadership and people living with NCDs, we launched our the first Vihiga county NCDs county chapter. The chapter which is led by people living with NCDs is intended to be a body that seeks to work with and to support people living with non-communicable diseases in the county by advocating for increased budgetary and social support allocation from the county.
With the formation of the NCDs county chapter is our hope and faith ere at Stowelink that we can eventually be able to see the county working closely with people living with NCDs to make access to health care and services needed for tis community much more available. We are pleased to have started tis journey with the county government of Vihiga and we will put them to task to ensure that as people living with NCDs we are able to receive more attention, increased budgetary allocation and more access to medical facilities in the county.
