Stowelink was represented in the Africa Tweet Chat organized by Chiromo Hospital Group in recognition of Men’s Health Month. The Africa Tweet Chat with the theme ‘Honouring the Man, was a discussion aimed at creating awareness on Men’s Mental Health.
Many mental health advocates, changemakers and men joined the discussion to share their views and their experiences with mental health and how to make it better. The focus was to amplify the voices and experiences of African men and their mental health journey. The Twitter Chat Session also aimed at challenging stereotypes surrounding mental health in men and uplifting each other.

The conversation featured people from different countries. About 100 Afro Panelists from 10 different countries across the globe were invited to participate. Stowelink was represented by the External Relation Officer, Naila Chebet Koech, who also represented Kenya in the panel.

Topics covered in the chat were;
- Unique challenges faced by men when it comes to seeking help for mental health issues.
- Practical strategies that men can incorporate to their daily lives to promote their mental well-being.
- How to create safe spaces where men feel comfortable expressing their emotions and seeking support.
- How to advocate for better mental health policies and services tailored to the needs of men.
- How leaders can promote mental health awareness and break the silence surrounding men’s mental health challenges.

Mental health challenges affect everyone and we need to make sure everyone is included in getting the relevant mental health attention and care.
