A Sunny Sporty Week 2 of May Measurement Month – June 23,2024

Week 2 of May Measurement Month (MMM) was filled with
sunshine and sportsmanship as one of the biggest local football matches
provided a vibrant backdrop for our health education and screening activities.
This dynamic combination drew large crowds, eager to witness the thrilling
match and engage with our health initiatives.

Community Engagement at the Football MatchThe fans turned out in impressive numbers, creating an
energetic atmosphere around our health education and screening tent. This
setting proved to be a valuable lesson in bringing health services to the
community in contexts that are familiar and engaging to them.

Tailoring Health EducationOne key observation from this week was the preference for
health education and screenings to be conducted in local languages and
presented in an easy-to-understand format. This insight will help us further
tailor our future outreach efforts to ensure they are accessible and impactful.

Week 2 Highlights

  • Health Screenings: Over 300 individuals participated in health screenings,
    focusing on cardiovascular health.

  • Health Education: More than 3,500 community members and football fans
received comprehensive health education during the event.

Looking Ahead

The success of this week’s activities underscores the
importance of integrating health initiatives with community events. We are
grateful to all the participants and volunteers who made this week possible.
Stowelink looks forward to continuing this momentum in the upcoming weeks of
MMM, striving to enhance public health through education, screening, and
community engagement.Stay connected with us for more updates as we progress
through May Measurement Month 2024, making health education and screening a
part of everyday community life.
