Stowelink Foundation proudly participated in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) High-Level Meetings on Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and Mental Health, where global leaders convened to evaluate progress and renew commitments toward combating the world’s growing NCD burden.
Representing the Foundation and Kenya’s lived experience community, Ogweno Stephen contributed to high-level sessions, including the Global Obesity Forum hosted by the World Obesity Federation, the Fourth Multistakeholder Gathering on NCDs and Mental Health, and The Economist Impact event on “Accelerating Action Toward SDG 3.4: Putting Obesity on the Agenda.”

Advancing Meaningful Participation in Global Health
Throughout the week, Stowelink Foundation emphasized the importance of integrating lived experience voices into global health policy. The Foundation continues to demonstrate how youth leadership, community storytelling, and innovation can shape equitable health systems and more inclusive approaches to NCD prevention.
This aligns with Stowelink’s broader mission of empowering communities across Africa through digital storytelling, youth-led advocacy, and technology-driven public health education.

Championing African Leadership
Stowelink’s presence at UNGA 2025 underscored the growing recognition of African leadership in shaping global health priorities. The Foundation continues to advocate for people-centered, prevention-focused approaches that reflect the realities of communities most affected by NCDs and mental health challenges.
As the global community looks ahead, Stowelink Foundation remains committed to advancing health equity, meaningful participation, and youth-driven innovation across the NCD landscape.
