Stowelink Foundation Hosts Strategic Visit from Children for Health Founder Claire Hanbury

Stowelink Foundation was pleased to host Claire Hanbury, Founder and CEO of Children for Health, during a recent visit focused on strengthening long-standing collaboration and shaping the future of child-centered health advocacy.

Claire is not only a trusted partner but also a supporter and investor in Stowelink Foundation’s mission. Over the years, Stowelink and Children for Health have worked closely to design and implement innovative health education initiatives that place children at the center of prevention efforts, particularly in addressing non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on shared achievements, including co-created learning materials, child-friendly health messaging, and school-based interventions that empower children to understand health risks and influence positive behaviors within their families and communities. These initiatives have demonstrated the power of participatory, age-appropriate approaches to health education.

Discussions during the visit focused on strategic alignment, long-term partnerships, and opportunities to scale child-led models for NCD prevention in Kenya and beyond. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening children’s agency, integrating digital tools to extend reach, and deepening collaboration with schools, educators, and policymakers.

Both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that children are not treated merely as beneficiaries of health programs, but as active contributors and advocates for healthier societies. The conversation also explored future joint projects that will continue to prioritize prevention, life skills, and health literacy from an early age.

Stowelink Foundation is grateful for Claire Hanbury’s continued support, trust, and partnership. Her visit reinforced the shared vision between Stowelink and Children for Health: a future where children are empowered with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to shape better health outcomes for themselves and their communities.
