Stowelink Foundation participated in the Youth-Led Advocacy in Tobacco Control Project Launch held on 31st March 2026 in Nairobi. The initiative, led by AMREF Health Africa through its Youth-in-Action Programme, aims to mobilize and empower youth-led organizations to strengthen tobacco control advocacy in Kenya.
The project focuses on building the capacity of young people to engage in policy processes, advocate for WHO FCTC-compliant regulations, and contribute to national efforts to address tobacco industry interference. It also seeks to integrate youth voices into existing tobacco control coalitions and promote evidence generation to inform policymaking.
As an organization committed to addressing non-communicable diseases, Stowelink recognizes the critical role of youth in driving policy change and community-level impact. Participation in this launch provided an opportunity to engage with like-minded stakeholders, explore collaboration opportunities, and contribute to shaping a stronger, more inclusive tobacco control agenda.
We appreciate Y-ACT for the invitation and commend their leadership in advancing youth-centered advocacy platforms.
