Global Health Leadership: Stowelink’s Ogweno Stephen Featured in New Springer Publication

At Stowelink Foundation, we are proud to share an important milestone that reflects our growing contribution to global health systems strengthening and innovation. Our Founder and CEO, Ogweno Stephen, has contributed a book chapter to the forthcoming publication Digitalizing Health Care Supply Chains in Africa: Achievements, Challenges and Impact, to be published by Springer.

This upcoming volume brings together leading scholars, practitioners, and system leaders working at the forefront of health systems transformation across Africa. It provides a timely and critical examination of how digital and innovative technologies are reshaping healthcare supply chains, an area that remains central to improving access, efficiency, and equity in service delivery.

Advancing Africa’s Digital Health Agenda

Across the continent, digital health systems are increasingly being positioned as key enablers of stronger, more responsive health systems. While high-income countries have demonstrated the benefits of digital integration in supply chain management, African contexts present unique structural, infrastructural, and policy challenges that require locally grounded solutions.

This publication explores these dynamics in depth, offering real-world case studies and cross-country perspectives that highlight both progress and persistent gaps. It goes beyond theory to examine what it actually takes to design, implement, and scale digital solutions within complex and resource-constrained health systems.

Stowelink’s Voice in Global Health Systems Innovation

Ogweno Stephen’s contribution to this book reflects Stowelink’s long-standing commitment to bridging innovation, research, and policy. Through our work in digital health, community engagement, and systems strengthening, we have consistently focused on developing solutions that are not only technologically sound but also contextually relevant and scalable.

His chapter contributes to a broader conversation on how Africa can design digital health systems that are resilient, inclusive, and aligned with real-world service delivery needs. It draws from both practical implementation experience and policy engagement, reinforcing the importance of integrating local knowledge into global health discourse.

From Local Action to Global Influence

This milestone is not just an individual achievement. It represents the trajectory of Stowelink as an organization that is increasingly shaping conversations beyond national borders. From community-level interventions to participation in global policy platforms, our work continues to demonstrate that locally rooted organizations can meaningfully contribute to global health solutions.

As we continue to expand our footprint in digital health and systems innovation, contributions like this strengthen our ability to influence how health interventions are designed and delivered across Africa.

Looking Ahead

Full details of the chapter will be shared following the official release of the book. We look forward to engaging partners, policymakers, and the broader health community in these conversations and translating these insights into actionable strategies within our programs.

At Stowelink, we remain committed to advancing health systems that work for communities, informed by evidence, powered by innovation, and driven by lived experience.

The book is scheduled for release on 24 May 2026 and is now available for pre-order:
