Our Signature Approach

Creative, Youth-Led, Impact-Driven

At Stowelink, we don’t just run public health projects—we reimagine how public health is done. Our approach is defined by originality, accessibility, and a deep commitment to empowering communities. Here’s what sets us apart:

Community-Centered Design

We co-create every solution with the community, not just for it—ensuring cultural relevance, ownership, and long-term success.

Examples:

  • Info4Food was co-designed with Githurai smallholder farmers and led to the creation of Kenya’s first low-cost vegetable dryer.
  • Save a Life, Save a World partnered with schools, gender-based violence recovery centers, and healthcare facilities to connect information to care.

Evidence-Based + Action-Oriented

Our work is grounded in research, real-time data, and adaptive learning to ensure impact, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Examples:

  • MEL systems with KAP surveys, digital feedback tools, and youth-led data collection.
  • Use of policy advocacy platforms like IPAB Project in Vihiga to present youth-generated policy asks to local governments.

Integrated & Intersectional Approach

We connect the dots across health, environment, gender, and digital inclusion. Our solutions are holistic and forward-thinking.

Examples:

  • 21st NCDs Youth 4 Climate trains youth on the links between health and climate action.
  • SRHR, mental health, and NCDs are addressed together in school-based campaigns.

Health Meets Creativity

We use storytelling, art, poetry, music, board games, and other creative formats to demystify complex health topics—making learning about health fun, relatable, and memorable.

Examples:

NCDs Board Game transforms passive health education into interactive learning.

The Drug-Free Youth poetry contest reached 350,000+ people in 3 weeks through spoken word.

Coz I’m Happy used visual art and digital poetry contests to spark conversations about mental health.

Digital-First Campaigns

Stowelink embraces technology and digital innovation to scale public health awareness—especially among youth audiences.

Examples:

Social campaigns like #LindaBuruWein generated 300K+ organic views using online voting and gamification.

NCDs 365 shared 365+ daily messages across 80 countries with over 4.5M digital impressions.

MyHeart KE App & upcoming MCure app provide mobile-based cardiovascular health education.

Youth Leadership at the Core

All our projects are youth-led—from design to delivery. We believe that when young people lead, change becomes sustainable.

Examples:

Our national NCD Youth Champions Tour mobilized 39+ organizations and hundreds of student leaders.

2,000+ youth health champions trained across 10+ countries.

University-based movements like The 21st NCD Youth for Climate foster long-term peer engagement.
