The D-day for the event was on 29th July 2018.the event was highly attended by Stowelink members, YALI representatives and KUHESMA members.we assembled at Kenyatta University after which we headed to the children’s home. On arrival at the children’s home, we planned ourselves and divided ourself so that some would cook, others would clean the area and ensure all logistical issues were well handled.
ON SITE
We were blessed to have worked with the most comparative team ever who had the heart to volunteer.the team was fluid in duties allocated to them and in 2 hours time we had cooked and cleaned up the place. Being on a Sunday, the children were in church during the morning hours giving us ample time to work.
In the afternoon we then ate together, shared together, have the children get some basic medical check ups and receive drugs. We then headed to celebrating the birthdays of two children at the children’s home and the atmosphere was truly filled with love. The day was a very successful day and the events of the day run better than planned for.
