Stowelink was actively engaged in the training at the Cumberland lodge which saw us discuss a lot of things about obesity. One of the key things that came out very strongly was that obesity is a disease and should be recognized as one. Obesity has from time immemorial being considered as just a condition as opposed to the fact that obesity is actually a disease and it affects almost one in every 5 people worldwide.
Obesity patients have been for so long experienced a lot of weight stigma and during the training it came out strongly that we have to start taking of how to end weight stigma in the world. Our CEO had also at some point in his life been a victim of weight stigmatization denying him a lot of opportunities and a s a result was deeply touched by the campaign.
We have to start coming out strongly to talk about and to end weight stigma and more that that we now need to start coming up with innovative ideas of solving the problem of obesity and ending weight stigma and for stowelink that method for us is project slim FIT
