This year Stowelink collaborated with the NCDS Champions and The Writer’s Pen amongst other partner to bring young people together in a continental wide poetry contest that saw 4 countries and over 128 poets participate in the contest. The contest featured poets and creatives Kenya,Uganda,Nigeria and Zimbabwe. The main aim of this poetry contest was to have young people to share about their mental health challenges and experiences during the COVID 19 crisis.
Impact
Through this poetry contest we have been able to reach 115 thousand people across Facebook who have read, liked, shared ad commented on the poems written by this young people. Through such initiatives we continue advocacy for mental health amongst young people using poetry. See bellow the statistics from the poem.
