NCDs 365 project is a flagship Stowelink project powered by NCDs champions that is set to improve NCDs literacy across Africa through provision of easy simple to understand information on non-communicable diseases and leveraging on the power of media and technology to pass this message across nations in Africa. In 2020 the project conducted its phase one where every day since January first 2020 the project shared daily messages throughout the year educating millions of people in 8 countries in Africa on non-communicable diseases. The project managed to have 14 partners across 8 countries in Africa translating the content shared in 4 languages and reaching to over 2 million people within the period of one year on social media.
In 2021, Stowelink is taking the project a notch higher. This year Stowelink is intending to develop weekly animated videos on non-communicable diseases .this new approach is aimed at engaging audiences in the audio visual way with the aim of increasing NCDs literacy in Africa and beyond.
More than that Stowelink through the support of NCDs champions has since developed the NCDs 365 mobile app which can be used anywhere in the world to learn about non communicable diseases. the app is free on Playstore and contains everything you will need to know about non communicable disease. More than that the app will connect you to medical camps happening in your locality, connect you to support groups on Non communicable diseases and keep you updated on the latest cutting-edge products, services, and innovation in the NCDs space.
This year we take it a notch higher and we are hoping to improve NCDs literacy through this initiative.
