Stowelink’s work was featured by the Access Accelerated at the World Health Assembly as one of the progressive and impactful organization with initiatives focused on NCDs education, literacy and advocacy. The World Health Assembly is the decision-making body of WHO. It is attended by delegations from all WHO Member States and focuses on a specific health agenda prepared by the Executive Board. The main functions of the World Health Assembly are to determine the policies of the Organization, appoint the Director-General, supervise financial policies, and review and approve the proposed programme budget. The Health Assembly is held annually in Geneva, Switzerland
Founded in 2017 at the World Economic Forum, Access Accelerated is a collective of over 20 biopharmaceutical companies working to advance action for NCDs. Fueled by the belief that all people should have access to quality NCD prevention, treatment and care, we implement scalable solutions through partnerships that address barriers to NCD care.
