Represented by our External Relations Officer and Mental Health Lead, Naila Chebet Koech, we actively participated in the 6th edition of this prestigious conference, which took place from March 2-5, 2025. About AHAIC
The Africa Health Agenda International Conference (AHAIC) is a biennial event that brings together key stakeholders from across the world to address pressing health challenges in Africa. Launched by Amref Health Africa, AHAIC serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and collaboration among governments, health organizations, the private sector, and civil society. The goal is to drive impactful solutions that improve health outcomes across the continent.
AHAIC 2025: “Connected for Change: Addressing Socio-Ecological Dynamics of Health”
This year’s conference, themed “Connected for Change: Addressing Socio-Ecological Dynamics of Health,” convened over 1,000 participants from diverse regions, including Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania, Ghana, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, India, Canada, the UK, and the US. It was an inspiring opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on the present and future of Africa’s health sector and explore pathways toward equitable healthcare access.

AHAIC Youth Summit
On March 2, 2025, young changemakers gathered at the Kigali Convention Centre for an action-driven Youth Summit. The summit provided a dynamic space for young leaders to interact with trailblazers who are shaping Africa’s health landscape. Key highlights included:
