Project ALPHA has been one of our best projects since the inception of Stowelink. Well this year we have had a few events as far as the project which involves creation and awareness of cancer is concerned. Earlier in the year project alpha featured an online campaign on Facebook (well talk about this on the next post), the medical camp at Zimmerman and the training of trainers programme currently ongoing at Kenyatta University.

The medical camp at Zimmerman was organized by cancer awareness center of Kenya and it had a lot of partners coming on board for the event including the Marrie Stoppes, Getrudes Hospital,AAR,KENCO Winnies Pure Health And Avenue Health Care. The day was one amazing day with various activities going on including health education, data collection, medical checkups on different health issues and one on one consultations.

It was generally a good day with a lot of activity and Stowelink was happy to be one of the partners to this event.

Health talks and consultations
Stowelink was responsible for providing health talks to the community as they waited to go for various tests. The health talk section led by Mr Ayallo Harrizon ensured that the community members who came for the medical camp were equipped with adequate information on cancers and healthy living.

Event coordination
Stowelink team led by Amos Omwoyo And Ogweno Stephen were put in charge of coordinating the flow of events directing the community members to various tents .this ensured that the event run smoothly and efficiently.

Data collection and analysis.
Data collection and analysis was also done by a team from Stowelink right from the information and registration desks to the various rooms where there was medical tests for prostate breast and cervical cancers. The collected data was latter analyzed by members from Stowelink Inc. with the help of the organizers thus leading a fruitful experience gained by our members who attended the camp.
