NCDs 365 app is a mobile app that provides information and links to services on non-communicable diseases. The app focuses at providing information on the 4 of the 5 major NCDs namely cancer, diabetes, chronic lung diseases and cardiovascular diseases. The app provides information on prevention aspects of these diseases focusing on making the user understand what these diseases are, their signs and symptoms and their prevention.

The apps also provide updates to medical camps events and trainings on NCDs offered by various partners and the app also lists organizations and patient support groups working in the various disease categories on the NCDs space. Finally, the app shares products and services provided by the various partners working in the NCDs space.

The need

The health care field especially when it comes to the non-communicable diseases sector we are facing certain challenges including

1. Myths and misinformation on non-communicable diseases
2. Technical language used in NCDs communication
3. Inaccessibility of NCDs information
4. For the NCDs community, inadequate links to NCDs support groups and networks.

Our solution

The NCDs 365 app has been designed to specifically help us in addressing these challenges. Through the app we’re providing the following solutions

We are providing information on non-communicable diseases in an easy to understand language.

We are providing credible information gathered from the word health organization, the NCDs alliance and from mayo clinic websites. The information was also sourced from various published research as well.

We are also connecting the users to organizations and patient support groups working in the NCDs space and we are hoping this way we are able to connect more people living with or supporting people living NCDs to benefits that come from associating yourself with a patient support group or organization.
