Stowelink Founder Ogweno Stephen Nominated for the Digital Fit Awards Kenya 2026

Recognition Celebrates a Decade of Youth Leadership, Public Health Advocacy, and Digital Health Innovation

The Stowelink Foundation is proud to announce that its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ogweno Stephen, has been nominated for the Digitally Fit Awards Kenya 2026, one of the country’s leading platforms recognizing individuals and organizations driving digital excellence, innovation, and impact.

The nomination recognizes Ogweno Stephen’s contributions to public health, digital health innovation, youth leadership, and advocacy, as well as his continued efforts to represent Kenya’s health agenda on both national and global platforms.

For over a decade, Ogweno has been at the forefront of developing innovative approaches to address some of Africa’s most pressing health challenges. Through the Stowelink Foundation, he has helped build a movement that combines community engagement, technology, research, advocacy, and policy action to improve health outcomes and strengthen health systems.

Founded with a vision of creating healthier communities through innovation and youth leadership, Stowelink Foundation has grown into one of Kenya’s leading youth-led public health organizations. The organization has reached millions of people through its programs on non-communicable diseases, tobacco control, obesity prevention, digital health, cardiovascular health, nutrition, community health education, and health advocacy.

Among the innovations championed under Ogweno’s leadership are NCDs 365, a World Health Organization-recognized digital health platform supporting prevention and education on non-communicable diseases, and Lifesten Health, an award-winning digital health platform that uses gamification and behavioral science to promote healthier lifestyles. Together, these initiatives have helped expand access to health information and empower communities across multiple African countries.

Beyond Kenya, Ogweno Stephen has become an influential voice in global health advocacy. He has represented young people and civil society at international forums including the United Nations General Assembly, the World Health Assembly, the World Obesity Federation, and numerous global health policy platforms. His work continues to amplify African perspectives on health equity, prevention, and sustainable health systems.

The Digitally Fit Awards (DFA) Kenya Edition, organized by Oracom Group and powered by KEOnline, celebrates businesses, professionals, brands, and leaders who demonstrate excellence in digital transformation and online engagement. The 2026 edition features 370 award categories and recognizes individuals and organizations that are leveraging digital platforms to create meaningful impact.

Ogweno Stephen’s nomination reflects not only his personal commitment to public service but also the collective efforts of the Stowelink Foundation team, volunteers, partners, advocates, and communities who continue to champion better health outcomes across Kenya and beyond.

Speaking on the nomination, Ogweno noted that recognition of this nature highlights the growing importance of digital innovation in advancing public health and ensuring communities have access to the information and tools needed to live healthier lives.
